Went to visit the City of Golden Colorado a few years ago. Although it is so close to Denver and gets plenty of visitors, Golden still retains the flavor of the Old West. The Denver Light Rail system reaches Golden. Enjoy the fantastic scenery even from the Light Rail station. At Golden, you are right on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. From the Golden Light Rail station, it’s short walk to the center of town. Some streets in the City of Golden Colorado are a bit steep, so pace your walking so you won’t get tired.
Clear Creek runs through the middle of Golden, Colorado. There is a beautiful statue of a Native American woman in the middle of the creek that is quite impressive. Clear Creek flows from the front range of the Rocky Mountains and empties into the South Platte River.
