Recently paid a visit to Beach Shanty Cafe in Clearwater Beach for breakfast. Close to home, I have walked by many times and today decided to drop in and check them out. Greeted by a pleasant friendly waitress takes me to a table, asking me what to drink? Water please. Menus, utensils and condiments are right there at your table so no waiting for them. Went for a breakfast egg burrito, adding meat is optional so added ham plus home fries on the side.

The Beach Shanty Cafe is just north of the Clearwater Beach Florida traffic circle shown in this video. This traffic circle is usually busy as all traffic coming into the beach from Clearwater goes through there. Don’t even think of stopping while going through the circle, as you will be towed away quickly.
The Beach Shanty Cafe is a small place with tables spaced close together, so sometimes you have to squeeze through. Brightly varnished wood floors, tables and chairs give this restaurant a country feeling right across from the beach. My order arrived in less than five minutes, quite tasty and filling. At over $11 before tip it’s a bit steep but well worth it. This Clearwater Beach cafe is a friendly place that’s always popular with locals and tourists. Open for breakfast and lunch, I will be back.
